SULTANA 13, APPLE VALLEY 9: At Hesperia, the Sultans knocked off the Sun Devils to hold on to a slim lead in the Mojave River League heading into a season-ending, two-game series with Serrano.
Sultana (12-7, 7-3 MRL) leads Serrano (6-4 MRL) and Hesperia (6-4 MRL) by a game in the standings. The Sultans host Serrano on Monday and visit the Diamondbacks on Wednesday to finish out the regular season.
Grant Holden went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, Sam Ward went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Alex Robillard finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Sultana.
For Apple Valley, Chris Morris went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Mikey McAllister was 4-for-4 at the plate.

HESPERIA 5, RIM OF THE WORLD 1; HESPERIA 10, RIM OF THE WORLD 2: At Lake Arrowhead, the Scorpions snapped a five-game losing streak by taking both games of a doubleheader against the Scots in Mojave River League action.
In the first game, pitcher Nathan Mansfield came in to relieve for Hesperia (12-11 6-4 MRL) in the fifth inning with the bases loaded and no outs. Mansfield proceeded to strike out the next three hitters to get out of the jam.
Juan Manibusan went 2-for-4 with a double and home run, and Kyle Bussey hit a two-run home run.
Manibusan came back in the second game to go 3-for-4 with three RBIs; Ian Overstreet went 2-for-3; Aaron Lopez was 2-for-3 with an RBI; and
Brandon Delaunay was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
The Scorpions, who are tied with Serrano for second and a game back of Sultana, visit Apple Valley on Monday and then host the Sun Devils on Wednesday.
