GRANITE HILLS 7, BARSTOW 5: At Barstow, Tiffany Vance helped herself earn the win by going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run as the Cougars beat the Aztecs in a Desert Sky League game.
Madie Simpson also hit a two-run homer, while Kylee Webb went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Granite Hills (7-3 DSL), which is now tied with Victor Valley for first place in the DSL.
Andrea Kowick had two doubles for Barstow (6-4 DSL), which now trails the Jackrabbits and the Cougars by a game.
Granite Hills hosts Barstow today at 3:30 p.m., while the Aztecs host the Cougars on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
