D’BACKS SPLIT WITH SUN DEVILS: At Phelan, Apple Valley defeated the Serrano boys (2-1, 1-1 Mojave River League) while the Diamondbacks girls (3-0, 2-0) beat the Sun Devils.

Serrano’s Jessica Feuerstine won three individual events and a relay for the Serrano girls while teammates Natasha Coe and Lauren Minnick won two events apiece, as did Apple Valley’s Ashley Cole.

Multiple-event winners in the boys meet included Apple Valley’s Nick Reynolds, Bradley Noss, Daniel Rosales and Chris Reeves as well as Serrano’s Jamaal Franklin, Alex Ramirez and Pedro Rangel.

SULTANS SWEEP: At Lake Arrowhead, the Sultana boys (1-2, 1-1 MRL) and girls (3-0, 2-0 MRL) defeated Rim of the World.

For Sultana, Scott Major won two individual events and a relay, Rahee Johnson won two events and Jose Farias won an individual event and a relay.

Sultana’s Chelsey Jones won three events on the girls side, while teammate Jade Pugh won both throwing events. LaTaneisha Wilkes, Auzsane Carter and Aubrey Harris each won an individual event and a relay for Sultana.

SCORPS, ’RABBITS SPLIT: At Hesperia, Victor Valley’s girls beat Hesperia, but the Jackrabbits’ boys dominated the Scorpions.

Hesperia’s boys (3-0) won 12 of 16 events, including victories in the long jump and triple jump by KaDel Robinson. Victor Valley’s DiVance Walker won the 100 and 200 meters.

On the girls side, Victor Valley’s Treasurie Hatten took first in the 100 and 200. MaryLynn Thomann swept the hurdles events, and Nicole Chambers won the long jump and triple jump. Hesperia’s (0-3) Johana Flores won the 1,600 and 800.
