Las Vegas teen killed in Wrightwood collision

WRIGHTWOOD • A Las Vegas teenager was killed in a collision with a vehicle near Wrightwood, officials said Monday.

At 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol responded to the collision on Highway 138 east of Sayle Road in the unincorporated area of Wrightwood, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s report.

The pedestrian, Suchul Kim, 19, of Las Vegas sustained injuries from the collision and was transported from the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, officials said.

No further information was available about the driver of the vehicle or the cause of the collision. The CHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
