Woman killed after four-vehicle crash

VICTORVILLE • A 19-year-old woman was killed Friday morning after she and her passenger were involved in a four-vehicle crash along Hook Boulevard and El Evado Road, officials said.

The woman was driving north on El Evado at about 8:30 a.m. when she ran a red light at Hook Boulevard, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville station officials.

The impact was so violent, the driver’s side door was pushed into the cabin at least one foot.

The woman’s white Honda was hit once by a sedan traveling west on Hook Boulevard then by a large pick-up truck in the southbound lanes of El Evado Road, Deputy John Ramirez said. Another small car then rear-ended the pick-up truck.

Rescue personnel airlifted the woman Loma Linda University Medical Center where she later died.

The woman’s passenger was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

It does not appear anyone else suffered substantial injuries.

Victorville station officials are investigation the incident.
