Rojas placed on administrative leave by VVUHSD
VICTORVILLE • The assistant superintendent of business services at Victor Valley Union High School District confirmed on Tuesday that he has been placed on administrative leave.
Ruben Rojas said by phone that he was hired only a couple of months ago and doesn’t know why the district made its decision. Rojas was placed on leave Jan. 11.
District officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
“I’ve only been there a couple of months,” Rojas said. “And I haven’t been told why.”
Rojas, who presented information regarding fiscal issues during various public platforms as the district’s business officer, said he believes he brought much experience and expertise to the district.
“I have done an exceptional job,” Rojas said. “I prevented the district from going insolvent back in December.”
