Person struck and killed on Palmdale road

VICTORVILLE • A person was struck and killed on Palmdale Road near El Evado Road early Saturday morning, but investigators have not released if the person was crossing the road, according to initial reports.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s and fire personnel were called at about 2:30 a.m. and found the person in the roadway. The gender of the victim was not immediately released. There are reports the victim may have been struck several times before help arrived.

Authorities shutdown Palmdale Road for several hours and reopened it around 9 a.m. Saturday.
