JOHNSON VALLEY • Three Hesperia teenagers were killed by a suspected drunk driver in a head-on collision Saturday night, according to a report from the San Bernardino County Coroner.

Tyler Shane Correll, 18, of Hesperia, was driving a 2001 Saturn sedan southbound on Old Woman Springs Road (Highway 247) in the Johnson Valley area at about 8:10 p.m., the report stated.

A northbound 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup truck apparently tried to pass several other vehicles and collided head-on with the car, killing Correll along with 17-year-old Jordan LaRocque of Hesperia and 18-year-old Ruben Ramos of Hesperia.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, but the driver’s name was not immediately released by authorities.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
