Hesperia man found dead in Apple Valley

Homicide Detail investigates

APPLE VALLEY • The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Homicide Detail is investigating the death of a Hesperia man whose body was found in the backyard of a residence in Apple Valley on Wednesday morning.

The victim has been identified at Steven Fragosa, 37, of Hesperia, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Cindy Bachman.

At 8:25 a.m., the Apple Valley station received a call about a dead body near the intersection of Symeron and Chole roads in Apple Valley, according to Bachman. The body was located in the backyard of a residence.

Several units from the Apple Valley station responded to the scene, and the investigation continued all day.
