Vagos still active in the Victor Valley

As Riverside County officials arrested 30 Vagos motorcycle gang members, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said the group is still a potential threat in the Victor Valley.

The Vagos are still active in the High Desert, Karen Hunt, spokeswoman for the Victorville station said.

“Whenever you have a group — whether it’s an outlaw motorcycle group or gangs — where they are believed to be involved in narcotics transactions and weapons violations, we try to stay on top of it,” Arden Wiltshire, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department said. According to sheriff’s officials, the exact number of Vagos in the Victor Valley were not available.

The San Bernardino-based outlaw — or one-percenter — biker group has ties to several crimes including producing, transporting and distributing methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as assault, extortion, insurance fraud, money laundering, murder, vehicle theft, witness intimidation and weapons violations, authorities said.
