Spouses use Internet to gain child custody

VICTORVILLE • Local parents are starting to use photos and comments posted on Facebook and MySpace to gain advantage in child custody cases, attorneys say.

When battling for their children in court, some parents download photos of their ex-spouses doing things harmful to the children and collect online postings and e-mails as evidence.

“At least in the past, it has gotten my clients in trouble at least a few times,” said family law attorney Kerrie Justice, who’s been working in the High Desert for 10 years.
