BARSTOW • Police are seeking information about a San Bernardino man who was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old cousin at a Barstow truck stop.
According to Barstow Police Department reports, Aaron Antill, 36, was arrested by Barstow police on Thursday after a 15-year-old San Bernardino boy came forward and told San Bernardino police that Antill had been having sex with him for several months beginning sometime in 2009.
The San Bernardino police investigation revealed that Antill was a truck driver who they suspect would take the victim on cross-country trips, and they suspect that Antill assaulted the 15-year-old in June 2010 at a Barstow truck stop.
Barstow police detectives served a search warrant on Antill’s San Bernardino home and discovered additional evidence. Antill was arrested in San Bernardino, processed in Barstow, and charged with sodomy, oral copulation and lewd and lascivious acts on a minor.
Antill posted bail and was released from custody.
Upon further investigation, Barstow police learned that Antill worked for a Fontana-based trucking company and suspect that he sexually assaulted the 15-year-old boy in his semi truck in the company parking lot. Detectives also discovered that Antill lived in a trailer park at the 2600 block of North Rialto Avenue at one time, where an ex-roommate said that Antill invited pre-teen boys to play video games.
Barstow police detectives believe that there may be other victims of Antill and urge anyone with information about Antill or the investigation to call Barstow Police Detective Keith Libby at 760-255-5134.
