Woman crashes into building

Police cited a woman for driving without a license after she crashed her GMC truck into a building at Second Avenue and Main Street at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Rosalin Rodriguez, the only person in the truck, was traveling eastbound on Main Street, went through the intersection on a red light and swerved to avoid hitting Barstow Courthouse employee Loni Hunley, who was traveling north on Second Avenue, Hunley said. According to Hunley, Rodriguez lost control of her truck and crashed into the front of the Dream Health Food Centre building.

Rodriguez, who was taken to the hospital with chest pains, was the only person injured, said Lt. Albert Ramirez, with the Barstow Police Department. Police are still investigating the incident.

The crash caused minor damage to the building.
