Liquor store robbers sought

STAFF WRITER

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is seeking two men who robbed a Main Street liquor store on Monday.

Sheriff's deputies responded to an armed robbery call Monday night, shortly before 9 p.m. from Hesperia Liquor, located on the 16200 block of Main Street.

Witnesses there told the deputies that two white male adults, each dressed in all-black clothing and ski masks, entered the store, one of which brandished a black handgun.

The pair took all the cash from the cash register, as well as a baseball bat, before fleeing the scene in a gray or brown truck, possibly a Chevrolet Silverado with an extended cab. The vehicle left the scene heading westbound on Walnut Street after heading down 7th Avenue.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Hesperia sheriff's station at 947-1500 or the anonymous WE-TIP line at (800) 782-7463.

Beau Yarbrough can be reached at 956-7108 or at beau@hesperiastar.com.
