VICTORVILLE • The Victor Valley College Foundation honored San Bernardino County 1st District Supervisor Robert A. Lovingood with a Distinguished Service award, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
Lovingood was recognized at the college foundation’s Feb. 23 gala for his many years of dedicated service to the High Desert community. Victor Valley College Trustee Joseph Brady presented the award to Lovingood in front of 400 guests at the Hilton Garden Inn in Victorville.
Lovingood’s community service includes chairman of the board of St. Joseph Health, St. Mary Foundation, and vice chair of the Lewis Center for Education Board. He also is past chairman of the board of the Victorville Chamber of Commerce.
“I’m humbled,” Lovingood said. “We’ve had the opportunity, both my bride and myself, through our business to be involved in a number of community projects such as the college that we have a commitment to.”
