Thomson, Hinkley School to possibly close

The Barstow school board will vote Tuesday on a recommendation to close both Thomson Elementary and Hinkley School as part of a "reorganization" to combat budget shortfalls and declining enrollments within the school district.

If the recommendation is passed, both schools would close after the 2012-13 school year.
