Suicide victim found off Amargosa Road

HESPERIA • San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials are investigating an apparent suicide reported Monday morning, officials said.

Sheriff’s officials responded to Key Pointe Avenue and Amargosa Road around 6:20 a.m. after a passerby reported seeing a body on the side of the road, Sheriff’s Detective Jeff Allison said.

Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Cindy Bachman confirmed that the 58-year-old white male committed suicide. The identity of the Los Angeles County man has not been released pending notification of family.

This is the second public suicide in a week after a Victor Valley College student, Garrett Alarid, committed suicide on campus Wednesday.
