MWA welcomes Coleman, selects new officers
APPLE VALLEY • The Mojave Water Agency recently welcomed Carl Coleman to its board of directors, along with swearing back in incumbents Kimberly Cox, Richard Hall and Doug Shumway following the November election. All four members will serve on the board for the next four years.
Jim Ventura, Mike Page and Beverly Lowry will also continue on with the second half of their four-year terms, with each of the seven directors representing a different section of the 4,900-square-mile area MWA oversees.
During the first meeting with the newly elected board members, the group also selected officers to head up the agency in control of the High Desert’s water supply. Cox was chosen as president, Lowry as vice president, Shumway as secretary and Ventura as treasurer.
MWA’s board meets at 4:40 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 13846 Conference Center Drive in Apple Valley. For more information, visit www.MojaveWater.org.
