CHP accepting new officer applications

First time in three years

BARSTOW • The California Highway Patrol is accepting applications from individuals interested in a career as a CHP officer.

Applications will only be accepted online today, Friday and Saturday, according to a press release.

The call for officer marks the first time in three years that the CHP has accepted applications, the press release said.

To be considered, candidates must be 20 to 35 years old, a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions and be a high school graduate. Each applicant will be required to go through a selection process.
