BLM Needles welcomes comments on annual grant application
Field office to file for state funds to manage off-road activities
NEEDLES • The Bureau of Land Management field office in Needles is welcoming public comments on its annual state grant application to help manage off-highway vehicle recreation on public lands.
The application, filed to the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVRD), requests funding related to off-road activities for operations and maintenance, law enforcement and planning and education, according to a news release.
The Needles Field Office is inviting the public to review the preliminary application at www.ohvparks.ca.gov from March 5 through April 1.
Public comments must be submitted via email to both the OHMVRD and the Needles Field Office.
Copies of the grant application will be available after March 5 at the Needles Field Office, the BLM Desert District Office in Moreno Valley and the state office in Sacramento.
