Man with dementia missing since December

Investigators ask public to help locate him

HESPERIA • Victor Valley Sheriff's officials are searching for a missing man diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia who walked away from his home nearly two months ago and hasn’t been seen since, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victor Valley station officials said.

William Black Jr. was reported missing Dec. 27 after his daughter found he had left the home sometime around Dec. 22, according to a release.

Authorities conducted a search including checking with family members in San Bernardino and other cities, but Black has yet to be found. Investigators are now looking to the public to help find Black.

He stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 165 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Black is asked to contact the Victor Valley station at (760) 552-6800 or call Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 245-4211.
