Gang members arrested for home invasion robbery

VICTORVILLE • Several San Bernardino gang members, including two juveniles, are scheduled to be in court next week for a home invasion robbery in Victorville where a woman was tied up, San Bernardino County Sheriff's records show.

Victorville station deputies arrested Dante Washington, 18, Milton Harris, 23, Detreon Montgomery, 18, and two teen boys for burglary, robbery, participation in a criminal street gang and kidnapping, sheriff’s officials said.

Late Monday night, deputies were called out to a home after neighbors heard screams coming from a nearby house, Karen Hunt, spokeswoman for the Victorville station, said.

Deputies learned the five robbers forced their way into the home, tied up a woman inside and robbed her at gunpoint, according to a release. Authorities confirmed the victim knew the robbers.

Through an investigation, deputies were able to find the group and arrested them, officials said. Detectives and officials were able to locate weapons they believe were used in the home invasion robbery as well as property taken during the robbery.

Washington, Harris and Montgomery were booked into Victor Valley Jail and the two teens, ages 16 and 17, were taken to the High Desert Juvenile Assessment and Detention Center.
