Lucerne Valley toddler dies

Sheriff's officials investigate circumstances

LUCERNE VALLEY • A 14-month-old boy from Lucerne Valley has died and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating his death.

Thomas Dube died Monday afternoon, sheriff’s officials said Thursday. The cause of death is pending, as the investigation continues.

Someone called for medical aid for the toddler at 4:12 p.m. Monday. The call was to a home in the 9400 block of Syracuse Road, near Cove and Ivanhoe roads in Lucerne Valley.

No other details are being released at this time, sheriff’s officials said, with an ongoing investigation taking place.
