Missing O.C. man found dead in Lucerne Valley

LUCERNE VALLEY • The body of a missing Orange County man was found in Lucerne Valley over the weekend, authorities said.

The body of 43-year-old Todd Hansen was found in the open desert of Lucerne Valley on Sunday afternoon, according to a report in the Orange County Register.

The San Bernardino County Coroner has not yet carried out an autopsy, but coroner officials do not suspect foul play at this time.

The O.C. Register reported Hansen had been missing since Halloween, when he emailed his employer saying that he did not feel well and was going to seek treatment at a local hospital. His family did not hear from him for several days and reported him missing.

Orange County Sheriff's Department investigators learned that there was no record of Hansen visiting any Orange County hospitals, Emery reported.

A cause of death will be determined once coroner officials complete the autopsy.
