Lenwood AM-PM robbed at gunpoint
Suspect still at large
LENWOOD• A gun-wielding man robbed the AM-PM on Lenwood Road early Thursday morning, according to a police press release.
At approximately 1:12 a.m., the Barstow Police Department Communications Center received a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the business on the corner of Lenwood Road and Mercantile Way.
The AM-PM clerk reported being robbed at gunpoint before the suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
Once on the scene, Barstow Police began their search for the thief, described as a Hispanic male adult in his mid-to-late 30s and about 5 foot 9 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall. He had a medium to heavy build, with a mustache, wearing a dark hooded jacket with light colored sleeves, gloves, prescription glasses and white tennis shoes.
