Unidentified man dies in Hinkley camper fire

HINKLEY • Officials are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose burned body was found in a camper shell in Hinkley.

On Monday, the fire department responded to a call at 9:20 a.m. and extinguished a fire in a camper shell on the 3700 block of Petra Road in Hinkley. The burned body of an adult male was discovered after the fire was put out, according to the coroner’s report.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Bomb/Arson detail of the San Bernardino Sheriff Department are investigating the incident.

The cause of death will be determined by autopsy, and the man will be identified through scientific methods, according to the coroner’s report.
