Fantastic Fundraising burglarized, coupons stolen

HESPERIA • Fantastic Fundraising was burglarized Friday morning, sheriff's officials said, and the suspect is currently unknown.

Hesperia Sheriff’s Service Specialist Katie Bracco responded to a call at 8:48 a.m. Friday from a victim at Fantastic Fundraising, according to a sheriff’s press release. The victim arrived at his business and discovered a window had been smashed and numerous boxes of fundraising coupon cards had been stolen.

Bracco describes the cards as tri-fold with numerous continuous use and one-time use discount coupons. She said several boxes do represent a substantial dollar amount. Legitimate local organizations often use these coupon cards as a means to raise funds.

If approached by someone to purchase one of these types of coupon cards, officials encourage residents to verify the validity of the sale and/or organization.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jarrod Burns with the Hesperia station at 760-947-1500.
