Former Town Council candidate arrested

APPLE VALLEY • An Apple Valley resident and former Town Council candidate was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, San Bernardino County Sheriff's records show.

Daniel Seagondollar, 57, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. on Sunday on Wren Road in Apple Valley for assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, according to the San Bernardino County Inmate Locator.

Seagondollar was released on bail on Monday. Charges have not been filed with the district attorney’s office, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was unable to provide further details about his arrest.

Seagondollar, who was a candidate in the 2006 Apple Valley Town Council race, said that the allegation is false but declined to comment further on the issue.
