Local man to 'come on down'

VICTORVILLE • A Victorville resident will be on television Tuesday, almost three months after a surprise birthday present landed him as a contestant on the longest-running game show in TV history.

On Sept. 26, Joshua White, 26, was selected to “come on down” and be on stage for an episode of the game show, “The Price is Right.”

“My wife surprised me with the fact that we were going,” White said. “It happened to fall on my birthday, which was fun.”

On stage, White had the chance to win prizes and interact with the show’s host Drew Carey, according to a press release.

“It was an adrenaline rush,” White said. “It’s a shock to watch the show every day and then be on it.”

White has been eagerly anticipating the release of his episode since September, and has texted his friends to inform them that it is airing Tuesday on KCBS Channel 2 at 10 a.m.

Those interested in getting free tickets to try their luck at being chosen to appear on “The Price is Right” can visit www.priceisright.com/tickets or call (855) 44-PRICE.
