Night Court to end March 1

BARSTOW• In another cost-cutting move to address statewide budget reductions, the San Bernardino County Superior Court will discontinue Night Court in Barstow and seven other cities in the county effective March 1.

Night Court is held once a month in Barstow, Big Bear, Fontana, Joshua Tree, Needles, Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino and Victorville. In Barstow, Night Court is held the last Thursday of the month.

Drop boxes are provided in all court districts to receive fine payments by check or money order and traffic school proof of completion.

The Presiding Judge of the Superior Court for San Bernardino County decided that ending night court is the most reasonable and measured way to meet the court’s extremely difficult financial challenges the press release said.
