Two arrested in stabbing
BARSTOW • Two Barstow residents have been arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place Wednesday evening.
According to Barstow Police reports, Juan Perez, 26, was stabbed in an apartment on the 500 block of East Fredricks Street at 7:20 p.m. and later driven to a trailer park in Dagget. Perez was stabbed numerous times during an altercation that took place after he allegedly made unwelcome sexual advances on a woman at the location of the stabbing.
Barstow residents Angela Meastas, 19, and Mark Barela, 18, were interviewed and later arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Perez was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton and is listed in stable condition.
