Road work to delay Apple Valley traffic
APPLE VALLEY • Repaving projects on portions of Joshua Road and Dale Evans Parkway are expected to delay traffic this week, according to an Apple Valley news release.
The repaving work is planned for Wednesday and Thursday on Dale Evans Parkway from Interstate 15 to Johnson Road, and Friday on Joshua Road from Highway 18 to Standing Rock Road.
The roads will remain open but drivers should be prepared for escorts and delays, the release states.
Crews will perform shoulder grading and striping after the initial repaving, and both projects are set to be completed by the first week of March.
According to the release, the Dale Evans project will cost $385,000 and the Joshua project comes with a price tag of $334,000. Both will be paid for with Measure I funds.
The work is a joint project between the town and San Bernardino County and is being handled by Sully-Miller Contracting.
