AV finance director out

Local civil suit against Pattison dropped

APPLE VALLEY • Town Finance Director William Pattison has resigned amid domestic violence charges, officials said.

Pattison, 45, was arrested at a home in Las Vegas on Dec. 26, with officials from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reporting he allegedly kicked his girlfriend in the back.

The town’s top financial staffer was on paid administrative leave from the time of the incident until Feb. 2, when Human Resources Director Nikki Salas reports he was removed from paid leave. Pattison then submitted his resignation effective Thursday, Salas said via e-mail, with officials declining to comment further on the situation due to confidentiality over personnel issues.
