San Dimas man arrested for Adelanto DUI

ADELANTO • A San Dimas man was arrested for driving under the influence in Adelanto after officials noticed him acting suspiciously, according to a news release Thursday from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

On Tuesday night, Victor Valley Sgt. Eric Mello witnessed Chad Travis, 26, bang on the doors of a Circle K on Chamberlaine Way, sheriff ’s spokeswoman Staci Johnson said in the release.

When Travis realized he was being watched, he got back into his vehicle, the release stated. After Mello pulled up behind him, Travis exited the vehicle and walked away, according to the release.

Mello detained Travis and found him to be intoxicated, according to the release. Travis was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into the Victor Valley Jail. He was cited and released Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff’s website.
