Frustrated by dialing 1 (760) for local calls?
The new area code dialing requirements have been in place for a week causing customers to dial 10 digits just to call across the street.
Tell us want what you think about the new dialing procedure.
All customers with a 760 area code must dial 1 + area code + telephone number.
The change was implemented because the new 442 area code was added to the 760 service area. Now that two area codes will now serve the same area, the are code must be used when dialing any telephone number.
